Crandon Superintendent Kryder Suspended

WJFW TV

WJFW TV is reporting Crandon schools superintendent Dr. Douglas Kryder has been suspended pending the results of an investigation by the school board.

The board made the decision Thursday night after a lengthy closed session. A local citizen's group has been putting pressure on the school board asking for Kryder's removal.

The controversy arose after former principal Andy Space resigned February 2 after getting a notice of non-renewal for next school year. More than 200 people attended a recent board meeting asking for Kryder's removal relating to Space's departure.

Kryder has been suspended with pay pending the investigation. He has been superintendent for three years.
